Caraamber Malt

How to use Caraamber malt.
1. Firstly, as a base malt in most beer styles: Caraamber an excellent general-purpose base malt for many different beer styles. Adding a distinct malt flavor and aroma, with a light to medium caramel sweetness. Use between 5-20% of the grist for light amber ales and lagers, or up to 100% for robust amber ales.
2.Secondly, for darker styles & color adjustment: Caraamber has intermediate diastatic power, so it can be used in darker styles such as porters and stouts (up to 40% of the grist) to bring out intense caramel and toasted bread flavors. Notably also used to adjust the color of a beer, with 1% Caraamber adding 1-2 °SRM to the final color.
3. Thirdly, as a specialty malt: Caraamber used in small amounts to bring a subtle caramel flavor and aroma to many styles of beer. Add between 0.5-3% of Caraamber to pale ales, IPAs, wheat beers, and more. This malt also great for adding body and a smooth sweetness to beer without adding strong flavors.
